The problem
The tools were built for big businesses — and priced for them.
Finance creators have never had more reach. A trader breaks down a setup on YouTube; a coach runs a packed WhatsApp group; an educator’s explainer gets a hundred thousand views. But when they try to turn that audience into a real business, they hit a wall.
The platforms that promise to help you “sell your course” are expensive. Many charge a heavy monthly fee before you’ve earned a single rupee — and then take a cut of every sale on top. The turning point
So we did the maths ourselves.
Md Shahnawaz Alamset up a sample store on the popular course platforms to see what it would really cost a small finance creator. The answer was: too much. Between subscription fees, transaction cuts and add-ons for the things that actually matter — protected video, live classes, a real community — a beginner could spend more on tools than they’d make in their first months.
That felt backwards. The people doing the hard part — teaching, showing up, building trust — were paying the most and keeping the least. ClassLands is the platform he wished those creators had.
